Simon Craig B.Ag Sci (Hons)

Simon is the managing director and owner of Agronomise. Simon has more than 10 years’ experience in broadacre cropping research as the Research Leader with the Birchip Cropping Group (BCG).

He successfully managed numerous projects such as the GRDC funded ‘Yielding benefits through partnerships’ (Water-use initiative BWD00012) and ‘Management of barley and barley cultivars for the southern region’ (DAN00173).

Simon is also currently the National Variety Trials (NVT) Extension Specialist in Victorian Wimmera-Mallee region for wheat, barley and canola. He is the lead consultant for the Victorian project lead by the BCG ‘Maintaining profitable farming systems with retained stubble in Victoria’ (BWD00024).

Simon is widely known as a leader within agriculture and has a very good rapport with advisers and industry. Simon has extensive experience in trial design, analysis and interpretation. He is known for his ability to translate complex research findings into information that is practical and widely understood.

Simon is involved in a family farm, north of Swan Hill, with his wife Lisa and her family.
